Character Development And Actors

Character Development, Actors and Genre Conventions

Within my teaser trailer I want my character to appear zombie like and controlled, I would like her to have a black expression and to walk aimlessly in particular sections of my teaser trailer.  Her make-up will be heavy to make her eyes look sunken; this is to make her appear to be more frightening. I want to convert my trailer clips into black and white to give them an old time effect. I also want to use an eerie background track and a use of short fast clips which are commonly seen in other horror teaser trailers, these conventions, I feel, are needed to meet audience expectations.

For my teaser trailer I will use two actresses. The roles they will be playing are the possessed teenager and the ghost of the murdered child.

Character one: Raphaella de Morgan

Role in movie: Possessed Teenager

How important is the role in the movie: this is the most important character in the movie as she is the one that will begin to unravel the mystery of the child’s murder. For my teaser trailer she will be needed for most of the shots.

Character two: Beau Bryan

Role in movie: Ghost of Child

How important is the role in the movie: her character is slightly less important to the movie as she will not have to be present in most of the shots, but her character is important as she is the one possessing the teen. For my teaser trailer she will only be needed for one shot.
